About this event

Dark Skies | Brighter Tomorrows

Embrace the rhythm of the night.

Eddie Lain

Filmmaker | Photographer | Creative Communicator | DarkSky Advocate

Cathy Handzel

DarkSky Advocate | Educator | Community Outreach Leader

Beyond moonlit serenades, calling owls, and starry skies lies a world dependent on the rhythm of light and darkness. From wildlife and plants to human health, this cycle is essential for sustaining life.

DarkSky San Diego, a local chapter of DarkSky International, invites you to explore the far-reaching effects of artificial light pollution on wildlife, human health, and even fruit development. Discover how simple changes can help restore our disappearing night skies and, perhaps, bring back the wonder of seeing the Milky Way outside our own doorsteps.
