- ➤ Oceanside has installed fencing along Harbor Beach, North Strand, and near the San Luis Rey River as part of its Coastal Dune Restoration Pilot Project. The project — funded by grants and local programs — uses green engineering techniques to trap sand and build natural dunes. The Coast News

- ➤ Starting Feb. 28, 2026, Oceanside Police can temporarily confiscate e-bikes from riders who ride recklessly and carry unauthorized passengers (a change made after a sharp rise in safety calls). CBS8
