The Ding King, a legendary Encinitas surf shop established in 1976, celebrates 50 years of board repairs as owner Brian Szymanski continues his precise work fixing boards and creating art — preserving a cherished piece of local surf culture.

Oceanside Public Library will host a free documentary screening of The Librarians, a film about libraries and book policies, followed by a moderated Q&A with Director Sonia Bautista on Friday, April 24, at 6:00 p.m. at MiraCosta College + registration is required and free parking will be provided.

Oceanside Museum of Art presents Kate Tova: A Place to Rest (My Tired Mind), an exhibition exploring burnout and renewal through art inspired by blooming spring wildflowers.
