Downtown Oceanside will host several spring events including MainStreet Oceanside's Taste of Spring on April 19th from 2 to 5 p.m. with local restaurants and shops and egg hunts at Mance Buchanon Park and Joe Balderrama Park+ upcoming activities also include art exhibits, an open mic night, Mystic Soul Ritual Shop Artist Alley, and a community safety workshop on April 26th+.

The Oceanside Chamber will host a Business Mixer at Studio ACE from 5:00—7:00 p.m. on April 17 and a Leadership Lab workshop on Redirection Feedback on April 24 with Dr. T, while the US Army Corps of Engineers begins dredging Oceanside Harbor today for safe navigation; residents should note Harbor Lot #12 will be closed during the work.

Grind and Prosper Hospitality opened the Lobby Tiki Bar and Grill at the Brick Hotel in Downtown Oceanside, offering a tropical retreat inspired by mid-20th century tiki style with innovative rum cocktails and island-flavored American cuisine.

The venue will offer Monday specials with seven-dollar Mai Tais and ten-dollar Huli Huli Chicken Wings and Friday hula dancers for guests with reservations.

Sponsored by OTC at the Brooks, the historic Sunshine Brooks Theater will host Movies at the Brooks with three free film screenings for the community.

The series features Jesus Christ Superstar on April 20 at 12:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. with a sing-along at 4 p.m., Top Gun on April 25 at 8 p.m., and Top Gun Maverick on April 25 at 12 p.m., 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Tafolla Productions will host a one night only tribute concert honoring Jim Henson at Sunshine Brooks Theater on April 18 from 8 p.m. — 9:30 p.m. The event will feature music, puppetry and a virtual performance while audience members are invited to dress in Muppet inspired costumes and bring their own puppets.

On April 9, the California Coastal Commission approved a $1.835M grant for Oceanside to support a baseline monitoring program and new coastal resilience efforts—funds will update the city's hazard plans and guide the RE:BEACH project to restore local beaches.
