  • The Oceanside National Day of Prayer will be held on May 1 from 6:00 — 7:15 pm at the El Corazon Senior Center Courtyard at 3302 Senior Center Drive, with the El Camino High School USMC Jr. ROTC Color Guard leading flag postings, live worship music, community leaders offering prayers, and an official City Proclamation planned. Admission and parking are free and small American flags will be given to children.  North County Daily Star

CULTURE NEWS

  • Omri Schein returns as detective Hercule Poirot in the world premiere of 'Peril in the Alps' at Solana Beaches North Coast Repertory Theatre—where six actors take on 29 roles in a mystery play. Written and directed by Steven Dietz—this play uses clues from Agatha Christie and will run until May 11th.  The Vista Press

EDUCATION NEWS

  • On April 19, Oceanside Unified School District hosted its first Middle School Mathfest at El Corazon Senior Center, where middle school students teamed up to solve math puzzles and race to finish tasks. Parents joined a workshop on high school math pathways while local engineers explained how math is used in real-world careers.  North County Daily Star

HEALTH NEWS

  • TrueCare hosted its ILLUMINATION Gala and Awards on April 12 at Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad and raised over $450,000 to support programs that improve care for children and teens. The event featured live auctions and performances from 41 sponsors—boosting access to pediatric services in our community.  The Vista Press
