- ➤ Three veterans from the Marine Corps, Army, and Navy recalled their service in Vietnam, describing how they earned Purple Hearts and endured injuries and protests upon returning home + they stressed that despite the hardships, their good memories outweighed the bad. CBS8
- ➤ KOCT is hosting its annual luncheon fundraiser this Thursday at Texas Roadhouse from 12:00pm to 1:30pm to support public access in Oceanside. The $55 ticket includes a meal option and auction items such as dinner with the Oceanside Fire Department & additional local experiences. The Vista Press
- ➤ Local CBS 8 is partnering with Navy Federal Credit Union and Support The Enlisted Project to collect personal care items for more than 600 military families in San Diego County from April 28 to May 31.
