- ➤ A Carlsbad man named Alexander Paffendorf received a three-year gun violence restraining order today after he allegedly discussed using explosives and a gun to commit a mass shooting with a teenage girl linked to a Wisconsin school attack & the judge said his detailed discussion on weaponry made his behavior too risky for gun ownership. The Coast News
- ➤ Authorities are seeking help to locate 14 year old Andrew Hernandez who was last seen at 8:30 p.m. Monday at 3810 Stanford Drive in Oceanside—he is visually impaired, considered at risk and was wearing a black jacket, long black shorts, a black baseball cap and no shoes. The Coast News

- ➤ On April 25, several North County educators were honored as district teachers of the year at an event held by the San Diego County Office of Education. They now will compete for county Teacher of the Year honors with winners expected by June 15. The Coast News
