- ➤ Pizza Port Brewing Company won four medals at the World Beer Cup on May 1 — it earned three silvers for its Schwarzbier, Oscar Wanted a Brown Ale, and Dusk Til Dawn beers and a bronze for Junk In Da Trunkel Dunkel while Oceanside’s Craft Coast Beer & Tacos won a silver medal for its XPA. - ➤ Oceanside native Kimmi Bitter, an award-winning country musician, will perform May 8-11 at Gator By the Bay— a four-day Louisiana festival at Spanish Landing Park featuring Cajun music, 10,000 pounds of crawfish, and other authentic fare.
