Today, 250 seniors gathered in North County for a seminar led by the District Attorney's office to learn how scammers cost millions to local seniors last year (one victim lost $1,700 in a fake court call) and officials such as Assemblywoman Laurie Davies and County Assessor Jordan Marks urged attendees to report suspicious activities (to help prevent further fraud).

Police arrested Karlos Jordon after officers used a remote-controlled camera to find him hiding in a crawlspace at a business on Mission Avenue at 3:15 a.m. Friday — he was booked on suspicion of burglary and an outstanding warrant, and police believe he may be linked to other local burglaries.
