More than 22,000 students from 10 community colleges in San Diego and Imperial are set to graduate with ceremonies held from May 16 to June 7.

These events underscore the colleges’ role in supporting over 100,000 jobs + a $10 billion annual economic impact in the region.

A WalletHub report found that California ranks 40th out of 51 for military retiree support by comparing 28 indicators such as housing affordability, cost of living and veterans’ healthcare — local veteran Dr. Dustin Potash said high rents and full taxation on military pensions add to the struggle.
