Good morning, Oceanside.

On Sunday, veterans and demonstrators gathered outside Camp Pendleton to protest the planned deployment of active-duty Marines to Los Angeles after recent unrest and immigration raids—urging troops to disobey orders they view as unlawful.

The protest followed a Defense Secretary’s statement that put the base on high alert, sparking concerns about using military forces in civilian matters.

Dr. Megan Johnson McCullough said hydrogen peroxide is a versatile and inexpensive cleaning agent that kills bacteria, fungi, yeast, mold, and viruses and works well on countertops, cutting boards, sinks, and even vegetables—farmers soak seeds in it to help them sprout and treat plant mold.
