- ➤ From June 16th to August 8th, the Oceanside Public Library will offer free summer lunch and enrichment activities for children and teens with no registration or library card needed—this program is supported by local food sponsors and is part of the summer reading effort to prevent learning loss. The initiative aims to keep kids healthy and engaged during the school break. The Vista Press
- ➤ Oceanside Community Foundation awarded $90,000 in grants to five local nonprofits on June 5 at the Veterans Association of North County to help young people gain job skills and independence — the foundation has given over $1 million since 2009 to support Oceanside programs. The Vista Press
- ➤ Oceanside Public Library will host Criminal Capers, a free movie series led by Professor Garrett Chaffin-Quiray, on July 7, August 4 & September 8 at 6:00 p.m. at the Civic Center Library Community Room at 330 N. - ➤ Oceanside Theatre Company is launching its 2025 Summer Film Series at the historic Sunshine Brooks Theater, made possible by a grant from Las Patronas—featuring a world premiere documentary, a Broadway sing-along, a surf film and two blockbusters. The series runs from June 20 with The Making of Freedom Riders: The Civil Rights Musical through August 3 with Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy—tickets are available online or at the theater box office. - ➤ On June 5th, 2025, SANDAG's Shoreline Preservation Working Group selected Oceanside's RE:BEACH project as the region's pilot test for new sand retention techniques to restore local beaches.
