- ➤ Frank Barron was named Volunteer of the Month for running a monthly food drive at Shiloh Church of God in Oceanside that gives about 75 pounds of food to 1,000 residents. He began his work 15 years ago and has distributed over 1.5 million pounds of food + his efforts continue to help many local families. CBS8
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Southern California grocery workers at Albertsons, Ralphs, Pavilions and Vons voted to authorize a potential strike to demand better wages, affordable healthcare and improved staffing as talks failed to address their needs. The union (representing about 45,000 workers) will resume bargaining with scheduled sessions set for June 25, 26 and 27 if a new agreement is not reached. CBS8
