- ➤ The Stuff the Bus drive will run until July 31 — raising funds to provide backpacks and school supplies to over 23,000 San Diego County students experiencing homelessness. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Rincon Homes has proposed building 83 single-family homes on a 10-acre site near Guajome Lake and environmental advocates say the project risks harming wildlife corridors and nesting areas—plans include a new recreation area, mitigation measures, and upgraded fire zones ahead of an Aug. 11 Planning Commission hearing.
