- ➤ The Ivey Ranch Park Association will host its 15th Annual Western Hoedown on October 11 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Ivey Ranch Park Equestrian Center in Oceanside—this event will feature horse riding demonstrations, hayrides, live music, BBQ, and raffles to support care programs and reduce waitlists. - ➤ Today, Supervisor Jim Desmond announced that the EPA and Mexican officials signed an agreement to fund projects that will stop raw sewage from Tijuana from entering local waters. The plan provides $93 million in new funding—starting two major construction projects this year to divert 10 million gallons per day and expanding a wastewater plant by August, with projects set to finish by December 31, 2027. - ➤ County supervisors voted 4-1 to approve a program that will offer small business owners and employees multilingual know-your-rights training if ICE raids occur—managed by the county Office of Labor Standards and Enforcement to help protect legal rights and stabilize workplaces. The Coast News
