- ➤ Last week, Oceanside City Council approved the Eddie Jones warehouse project after the developer offered to reduce truck bays and contribute $2.5 million for park and capital improvements—council members said the changes countered concerns from the earlier May denial. Supporters said the project will add about 1,200 construction jobs and 500 permanent jobs when completed. The Coast News
- ➤ A Carlsbad homeowner is disputing the California Coastal Commission’s claims that he broke his 1998 permit by locking public access gates and adding a pickleball court at his Levyland home near Buena Vista Lagoon. He said he met nearly all permit conditions—city officials note his property is compliant except for one rule—and he awaits the city to accept his offer to dedicate a trail for public access.
