- ➤ Governor Gavin Newsom signed a law that gives buyers of used cars under $50,000 three days to return them—if they've driven under 400 miles they can get a refund minus a restocking fee. The law will take effect in October and applies only to vehicles purchased at licensed dealerships—covering both personal and certain commercial uses. CBS8
