- ➤ Regional artists showed their work on October 27th in Fallbrook's Hello Autumn! Art Competition, where Oceanside artist Vanessa Gerardi won first in the two-dimensional category plus top prizes were given in the three-dimensional and photography categories, sponsored by Fallbrook Propane Gas Company. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Oceanside is launching a project today to add about 2,000 cubic yards of donated sand to Tyson Street Beach to fight erosion — the sand, coming from construction and lagoon dredging, has been tested for safety. Trucks operate from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily until the week ends while the public uses the beach with caution around the equipment. CBS8
- ➤ On November 13 at 5:30 p.m., Greg Wade, CEO of the Clean Energy Alliance, will share plans to launch new clean energy programs aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and supporting all communities — the event is co-hosted with the Center for Community Energy and NCCCA and will include a Q&A session.
