- ➤ Jeffrey the Toy Man Olsen donated more than 600 pounds of canned veggies to The Salvation Army. He has donated food, clothing + toys to charities for decades and said people with the means should help those in need. The Vista Press
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Lifesharing honored local organ and tissue donors with a Día de los Muertos ofrenda today featuring sugar skulls decorated with marigolds, candles, and photos that capture each donor's legacy (including symbols linked to a 23-year-old donor from North County). Families of the donors are expected to visit the tribute as the event highlights the need for more organ donations in the Latino community. CBS8
- ➤ Oceanside Theatre Company’s Youth Academy will present Once Upon a Mattress at Sunshine Brooks Theater from November 14 to 23—tickets cost $20 presale until today and $25 later with discounts for seniors, military, and students. The company will also launch its first Fall Youth Technical Workshop led by Nate Cargill, offering hands-on stagecraft training for youth ages 12 to 18. The Vista Press
