- ➤ Operation HOPE–North County released its November newsletter that outlines its mission to help families rebuild their lives from homelessness by providing safe shelter and supportive services and announced its 10 Days of HOPE campaign starting tomorrow to raise $10,000 while celebrating successes like the Día de los Niños Community Resource Fair that served more than 340 people and welcomed new board member Oscar Matos. - ➤ Father Joe’s Villages is urgently asking for donations of new or gently used warm clothing such as socks, underwear, jackets and belts to help people experiencing homelessness during cold, rainy weather. The items will be distributed at inclement-weather shelters and drop-off locations including one in Oceanside. CBS8
- ➤ TERI received a $3 million challenge grant from the Tom and Mary Tomlinson Foundation to speed up the completion of its Campus of Life in San Marcos — a project that will relocate many programs from Oceanside — as the funds will be given in $1 million yearly installments with a required 2:1 match.
