- ➤ The Oceanside Chamber has announced community events, starting Tuesday, Dec. 9 with Second Tuesday Coffee at VANC, a Military Affairs Forum on Dec. 11, Rising Stars Breakfast on Dec. 16, and a networking evening on Dec. 18, plus free holiday festivities at Mission Marketplace and a green organics tip. - ➤ Frontwave Credit Union and the Frontwave Foundation launched the Coat and Comfort Drive on Dec. 1 to collect new or gently used coats, blankets and shoes for neighbors facing homelessness — donations may be dropped off at Frontwave branches or Frontwave Arena until Jan. 16. The Vista Press

- ➤ A new 5,000 sqft mural titled Oceanside Odyssey transforms the transit center tunnel into a vibrant display of local coastal art. Five spray-paint artists completed the project over two years — funded mainly by a Caltrans grant — inviting riders to pause and appreciate Oceanside’s identity. CBS8
- ➤ Oceanside Public Library is hosting the Regency Tea Party: Jane Austen 250 on Saturday, Dec. 13 at 11 a.m.—adults must register online and wear regency attire to enjoy a presentation by Linda Miller on the celebrated author. The Vista Press
- ➤ Dead Moose, a new theatrical production by Tyler Tafolla with book, music and lyrics, will have its world premiere at BrooksOceanside Theatre Company from Jan. 23 to Feb. 1, 2026.
