The Klezmatics | A Happy Joyous Hanukkah

About this event

Grammy-winning ensemble The Klezmatics returns with A Happy Joyous Hanukkah, a festive program inspired by the music and traditions of Hanukkah. For more than three decades, the pioneering group has expanded the boundaries of klezmer, the celebratory folk music of Eastern European Jewish communities, blending it with influences from jazz, Latin, Balkan, and other global styles.

Featuring newly discovered lyrics by Woody Guthrie paired with original compositions by the band, the performance brings a fresh perspective to themes of family, heritage, and celebration. Kicking off the Festival of Lights, this joyful evening celebrates Jewish culture, community, and song.
