At least three of the six companies granted cannabis retail licenses earlier this year have filed permit applications for storefronts. Embarc's, filed in September, is for 2525 S. Vista Way, near the Carlsbad border. The Coast News

Encinitas' City Council voted unanimously Oct. 28 to cap mobile home space rent increases at the lesser of 4% or 75% of the annual change in the regional Consumer Price Index. A second ordinance is scheduled for consideration Nov. 18. The Coast News
