- ➤ The Oceanside City Council approved a nearly $3.2M contract on June 4 to upgrade police body-worn and in-car camera systems—this deal adds 240 new cameras with expanded license plate reading and video management features. The new plan extends in-car camera service until 2030 and consolidates video footage on one cloud-based platform. The Coast News
- ➤ On June 4, the Oceanside City Council approved a new fire hazard map made by Cal Fire—this map shows moderate, high, and very high risk zones for wildfires. The updated map will guide future fuel reduction, building rules, and public safety projects as the city works to lower fire risks. The Coast News
